I have a lot of dreams that involve wolves. In these dreams they are 'movie like', as in I know there is impending doom coming for me, but cannot stop it.

In these dreams, I am always in a house. I am never able to lock any doors or windows, just close them and try to barricade them. Eventually they break through and find me. Somehow, I am able to get the courage and fight them. They dream always ends with me killing them. To do so I grab them by the jaws and tearing it apart.

I find these dreams/nightmare unsettling as as anyone would. I have had this same dream about 5, 6 times, but have not had it for more then 3yrs. I notice that any repetitive dream I have ends when I tell someone about it.

Well Cinder first of all we should start by looking at the wolves themselves and what they represent. To most they are a wild animal, social creatures since they live in packs with a hierarchy and certainly to be feared. What I mean is if you were out in the woods and saw one you would most probably want to get away as soon as possible so you didn't end up as the wolves next meal. They are also stealthy, nocturnal efficient hunters/predators, strong and powerful and yet genealogically speaking they are related to mans best friend the dogs which tells us that deep down inside they aren't all that bad afterall eh?

Now normally when interpretting a dream I would ask some questions, get some more details from you regarding the dream and your current situation in life (doesn't have to be specific, but sheds some light on you as a person) and try to find out if you are always unsettled when you wake from these dreams or sometimes feeling confident and strong since you killed them. However you already stated that in your opinion these were nightmares so 'nough said on that. This will be an abbreviated reading for you so keep that in mind.

Firstly the fact that you are always in a home/house and NOT outdoors tells me that this is an inner issue dealing or relating directly from within you and not an external problem though it may very well have some roots from an external source. More a problem hitting "Close to Home" if you know what I mean.

Now you say you can never barricade the doors or windows which is a good thing. This is your inner self telling you that deep down you DO wish to confront this issue but the fact that wolves (frightening creatures in this dream) are always trying to break in and even succeeding denotes that whatever this issue is, it's scary for you to deal with and since this is a recurring dream over a couple of years it tells me that you are avoiding this issue and your subconscious is trying to remind you that this problem is bringing disharmony to your life whether you acknowledge it or not and it won't go away until you finally deal with and resolve this ongoing problem. Denial and avoidance is common amongst us all and everyone has had a similar scenario at some point in their life. In order to be happier in life though we need to be strong and confront our fears in order to grow and mature which also leads to more self confidence, better self esteem and an all around feeling of peace and serenity in our daily lives.

So we continue with the wolves getting "INSIDE" your world. Although this is perhaps the most unsettling part of your dream it is actually the most positive as you said yourself you summoned up the courage to conquer these symbolic demons if you will which is your inner selfs way of reassuring you that you know you can overcome and resolve this negative aspect in your life but through fear perhaps of failure or the unknown you keep putting it off or avoiding it.

Now the next part of your dream is about the "Jaws" of the animals and herein lies the most difficult part to interpret in this recurring dream. Firstly dreams involving jaws/mouths are quite common in people especially women with eating disorders or poor diets. Check both of these areas of your life to see if this may be a nagging conflict you have been fighting for some time now that has been "GNAWING" away at you. Sorry, no pun intended.

Another thought is that for whatever reason you are afraid of what others are thinking or saying about you and you find these thoughts hurtful and disturbing and so symbolically you may be trying to shut them up by destroying the tool of their hurtful words. Remember that worrying about what others think or say about you is a self degenerative disease of the mind and only gets worse the more you feed it. Concentrate on positive energy and positive energy inducing things such as daily self reassuring comments. Repeat great things about yourself every night before bed or during the day as you travel about. Also try forms of meditation to find more peace within and even a soothing bath with scented candles and a quiet enviroment while listening to soft calming music can help rid the mind of negative energies and perhaps help you get more to the root of the matter.

The final thought on the jaws has to do with you killing the beasts or symbolically trying to rid yourself of a problem area in your life once again showing you that you can overcome the problem if only you will confront it "HEAD ON" so this deep "BITING" issue no longer holds you back.

As you've probably noticed I capitalized key words to show an extra significance for your benefit. Whatever it is you are afraid to confront in your life needs to be addressed and you DO have the power to overcome it. So don't wait, find what it is and fix it now!!! Don't let it disturb you for one more day. Overall this is a very positive dream now that you know better what it is trying to tell you even though to you it seems just a scary nightmare. This seemingly negative dream is actually an empowering dream and this is why it is very important for people to have dreams of this nature among others analyzed because where people see negativity failure and unfamiliar (SCARY) territory a good dream analyst will see hope and guidance, strength and the potential for positive growth!

I hope this helped you and once you come to terms with this problem these dreams will stop and you can move on to the next revelations your dreams have to offer.

Goodluck Cinder and please feel free to stop by anytime.

Cinder's Wolves....
Seems crystal clear to me. You think originally that you are not capable or strong enough to deal with something in your life, but then you turn out to have a tremendous amount of courage in tacklin the problem in the end. The situations are important and dramatic to you and you go right to the heart of the problem to bury it once and for all/ as symbolized by the ripping of the jaw. It's either this, OR... you wish that you were the superhero in your dreams and are striving to be more like this in real life.
Skinny.

I was in an emotionally/mentally abusive relationship 11yrs ago, and still suffer from self-esteem issues to this day.

With the help of my husband, I have overcome many insecurities, but still have that little voice in my head that I fight daily.

I've never had an eating disorder, but have struggled with not having 'the perfect body' I do what I can (that is safe) to be at a good weight for my height. Being a mom of 3, it's not easy.

I have gotten better with not worrying what other people think and or care about me. Especially those that I don't know.

Thank you very much VISION, that was very insightful.

I like that version too.

Cool, sounds like you are dealing with a couple things, and like you said, certain things are really hard to shake. Now if only I could get rid of my wind phobia going outdoors on a windy day would be a lot more fun. What kind of knucklehead is afraid of the wind??? I think I'm the only one.

Thanks for sharing your dream with everyone though and post some more when you can k? ;)
