Although it seems that i rarely recall my dreams these days i remember when i was 11 or 12 having a recuring dream where i felt compelled to climb to the roof of a nearby apartment building.

In my dream, i recall standing on the ledge and jumping off where I would free fall a few moments and would land feet first on the roof of the houses below.

I remember dreaming that this would really hurt my feet, yet there i was climbing right back up... two or three times a night.

I figured that i was watching too much Road Runner and training myself over time to not have this dream anymore.

Could this be why i can never remember any of my dreams when my fiance asks how i slept last night??

Skinny,

Did you have any issues with premature responsibility? Often times people having these Semi-lucid dreams and recovering nicely occur when someone has to much responsibility handed to them for one reason or another.

Some reasons may include-Single parent (Usually mother), Hectic work schedule, child neglect and even drug and alcohol abuse. Although we know these are not good reasons for parents to encumber us with premature responsibility, the sad fact is that it has happened to about 50% of us over the years including boys and young men pulling "Daddy's Weight" after he decides to leave for a newer, fresher and younger piece .........You get the idea.

Sounds to me as though you still have far too much responsibility in your life as evidenced by the fact that you still hold high esteem to this dream that afflicted you years ago.

One thing to correct this sort of negative dream is to learn how to relax. Take a deep breath and sit down and just be! The world isn't going to end without you. Sorry to break your bubble but....

Chill out and you'll soon see that great things come a lot smoother and easily towards you.

Good dream btw and thanks for sharing it.
